Hand Held Terminal (HHT)

Hand-Held terminals are wireless devices commonly used in container terminals at various locations and processes, such as the tallyman at the waterside to register load and discharge. It can also be used by the gate checker clerk to perform the p-check at the gate, as well as, for the reefer electrician to record reefer checks or plug actions and, last but not least, in the yard to either correct the inventory or do container data checks.

Usually, these HHT run an application on the terminal operating system (TOS) and are directly integrated into the TOS, which is reinforced in the RBS TOPS system.
